About Us

For a quarter century Coastal Concerts has worked in our communities to provide:

  • 113 concerts bringing world-class, internationally acclaimed artists and groups to our communities;

  • 30,000 classical music enthusiasts from all walks of life with outstanding performances equal to those in New York, Philadelphia, and Baltimore in an intimate setting;

  • $52,470 in scholarships to 61 talented, dedicated students, showcasing our top scholarship winner in our last concert of each Season;

  • 157 plus instruments to local schools through our “Toot Your Horn” initiative;

  • Dozens of in-school master classes in our local schools to aspiring musicians from world-class artists; and

  • Provide diverse populations with limited or no access to classical music collaborating with First State Community Action Agency and La Esperanza.

Coastal Concerts (CoCo) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization was managed and operated entirely by volunteers until December 2008 when a part-time Executive Director was brought on board.  Our Board of Directors work to bring a wide range of skills and experiences to maintain and expand our outreach.

We can’t do this without help:

  • We are fortunate to have a cadre of loyal patrons, donors, business sponsors and volunteers without whom it would be impossible to deliver our concerts and outreach;

  • Tickets sales generate only 36% of the budget; and

  • We raise the shortfall through sales of program booklet advertising, grants from foundations, gifts and contributions from individuals, as well as corporate donations.

If you love classical music, and agree that music in our schools is essential, we hope that you join us at an upcoming concert and become involved. We guarantee you will be thrilled with what you see and hear.
