Musica Pacifica brings its high-energy virtuoso performances from their City by the Bay (San Francisco) to ours. The quartet, consisting of a recorder player, a violinist, a cellist and a harpsichordist, has been performing for 20 years at such venues as New York’s Frick Collection, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and the Los Angeles County Museum. In San Francisco, the artists are members of Philharmonica Baroque. The group’s performances range from rousing baroque folk and dance music to the exuberant pieces of the Italian Baroque, including the works of composers such as Bach, Handel, Vivaldi and Henry Purcell. Their accolades are many: “Some of the finest baroque musicians in the world” (American Record Guide); “among the best in the world” (Alte Musik Aktuell). http://www.musicapacifica.org/
